I think I have problems to believe in "a person" who only speaks, to me, by old letters and not personally, as it is in a daily relationship.
The "word of God" cannot be an umpteenth version of their 1st personal encounter...
There were times when I said:
"I'm not afraid to say they made (of it) and idol, bigger than THE ONE who inspired men to write it down"
